How to Add a Calendar Block:

  1. Edit a page/post
  2. Click Add Block or insertion marker
  3. Select Calendar
  4. Click the pencil icon to edit
  5. Choose a collection page to display content from

Key Features:

  • Displays event titles, times, and selected images
  • Shows content from one collection page at a time
  • Excerpts appear on mouseover
  • Images crop to fit calendar dates
  • Navigate months using arrow buttons
  • Click dates to view original item pages

Best Practices:

  • Add excerpts and images to collection items
  • Set event end times to 11:59 PM instead of midnight
  • Future blog posts won't display (but upcoming events will)
  • Multiple items on one date show times and titles together

Responsive Design:

  • Adjusts automatically for smaller screens
  • Below 600px: Shows titles, times, and excerpts (no images)
  • Below 300px: Displays titles only

Important Notes:

  • Not compatible with bookings (use appointment blocks instead)
  • Dates without items appear gray or match background
  • No custom styling options available
  • Multiple items on same date won't show individual images
  • Calendar automatically expands to show multiple items

The calendar block provides an interactive way to showcase your events and collection content while maintaining a clean, organized appearance across all devices.
