A domain lock is a security measure that prevents unauthorized domain transfers. Understanding these locks is crucial for managing your domain effectively.

  • Can be removed anytime

Managing a Locked Domain

To disable the automatic domain lock:

  1. Access domains dashboard
  2. Select target domain
  3. Toggle Domain Lock option off

Using a Locked Domain

While locked, you can still:

  • Transfer between Squarespace sites
  • Point to another website
  • Link to other sites without transferring ownership
