The domain registrar manages your domain's registration and DNS records. Here's how to identify your domain registrar:

Using ICANN Lookup Tool:

  1. Go to ICANN registration data search tool
  2. Enter your domain name
  3. Find "Registrar" or "Registrar Information" section
  4. If only an IANA ID shows, check the IANA Registrar ID database

For Squarespace domains, Squarespace is your registrar and manages domains through these servers:

  • Squarespace Domains LLC
  • Squarespace Domains II LLC
  • Tucows registrar family (Tucows and EPAG)
  • Key-Systems registrar family (Key-Systems GmbH and Instra)

Knowing your registrar is important for:

  • Managing DNS settings
  • Handling domain transfers
  • Resolving domain issues
  • Updating domain contact information
  • Renewing domain registration

Your registrar serves as the primary contact for all domain-related questions and maintains your domain's registration status in the global DNS system.

Remember: Your domain registrar might be different from your hosting provider. Always keep your registrar contact information updated to avoid domain-related issues.
