The .gay domain extension comes with two important features that support and protect the LGBTQIA+ community.

Charitable Donation Program: 20% of all .gay domain registration revenue goes directly to LGBTQIA+ charities, supporting organizations that work for equality and community support.

Anti-Hate Protection Policy: The .gay TLD enforces strict guidelines against harmful content. Domain owners must not use these domains for:

  • Violence incitement against LGBTQIA+ individuals
  • Cyberbullying or harassment
  • Hate speech
  • Organization of discriminatory activities
  • Any form of anti-LGBTQIA+ content

Anyone can register, transfer, or connect a .gay domain to their website. If you encounter content that violates these policies, you can report it through Top Level Design's Policy page.

These measures ensure that .gay domains remain a positive space that celebrates and supports the LGBTQIA+ community while actively preventing misuse and discrimination.
