Google Analytics Activity Log: Monitor and Review Site Traffic Data

Search and analytics data show visitor behavior on your site over the past seven days, including IP addresses, browser details, and geographical locations.

Activity Log Overview The Activity log displays detailed visitor information for each URL accessed on your site, including:

  • Date and time of visit
  • IP address
  • Referrer URL
  • Browser version
  • Operating system

Key Features

  • Shows the most recent 50 entries (load more available)
  • Searchable by IP address, page visited, or referrer
  • Helps identify geographic locations of visitors
  • Useful for investigating traffic spikes
  • Tracks visitor activity, not login/editing activity

Important Notes

  • Only shows data from the previous 7 days
  • Browser privacy settings may limit available details
  • Cannot block specific IP addresses
  • Page titles remain unchanged in log for up to 7 days after modification

Viewing the Activity Log

  1. Open Analytics panel
  2. Click Engagement
  3. Select Activity log
  4. Use search icon to filter results
  5. Click any entry for detailed path information

Disabling the Feature To comply with privacy laws:

  1. Access Cookies & Visitor Data panel
  2. Scroll to Activity Log toggle
  3. Switch toggle off to remove all data
  4. Toggle on to re-enable tracking

Note: Location data is approximate based on IP addresses. Privacy settings may affect data collection comprehensiveness.
