Connect your IWantMyName Domain to Squarespace

Before getting started, review Squarespace's requirements for connecting external domains.

Step 1: Initiate Connection in Squarespace

1. Navigate to the Domains panel
2. Click "I already have a domain"
3. Enter your full domain name and click the arrow
4. Click "Connect domain"
5. Select "iwantmyname.com" from the dropdown
6. Click "Connect domain" and then "Continue"
7. Keep the DNS records panel open for reference

Step 2: Access IWantMyName Settings

1. Visit www.iwantmyname.com and log in
2. Click Services dropdown → Apps & Services
3. Search for "Squarespace"
4. Click "Add Squarespace" next to your domain

Step 3: Verify Your Squarespace Site

1. Copy the unique verification code from Squarespace DNS Settings (under Host column)
2. Paste the code into IWantMyName's "Unique verification code" field
3. Click "Install Squarespace"
4. Wait for the setup notification to confirm

Step 4: Wait for Connection

• Allow 24-72 hours for full connection
• Monitor progress in Squarespace DNS settings by clicking "Refresh records"
• Look for green tags in the Current data column
• Connected status will show in the Domains panel when complete

Troubleshooting Tips

If you see "Unable to verify domain ownership":

1. Use the DNS verification tool in DNS Settings
2. Check A and CNAME records
3. Correct any mismatched records
4. Contact IWantMyName support if needed

Remember: SSL certificates will automatically be provisioned once the domain is properly connected.
