To connect a WordPress domain to your Squarespace website, follow these precise steps:

Step 1: Start Connection in Squarespace

1. Open Domains menu
2. Click Use External Domain
3. Enter your domain name and click the arrow
4. Click Connect Domain
5. Select WordPress from dropdown
6. Click Connect Domain and Next
7. Keep the DNS settings menu open for reference

Step 2: Access WordPress DNS Settings

1. Log in to WordPress
2. Navigate to My Site > Upgrades > Domains
3. Select your domain
4. Click Change Nameservers & DNS Records
5. Select DNS Records

Step 3: Add First CNAME Record

• Type: CNAME
• Host: Copy unique code from Squarespace DNS settings
• Alias Of: verify.squarespace.com

• Look for green labels indicating successful connection
• Domain will show "Connected" when complete
