Determining your domain provider (also called a domain registrar) is essential for managing your website's domain name. Here are the most reliable methods to find this information:

Using ICANN Lookup Tool (Fastest Method):

  1. Visit the ICANN lookup website
  2. Enter your domain name
  3. Click Search
  4. Look for "Registrar" and "Registrar URL" in the results
  5. The Registrar listed is typically your domain provider

Checking Squarespace Domains Panel:

  1. Open the domains central panel
  2. Log into your account
  3. Find your domain name
  4. Check the "Provider" column

For Former Google Domains Users: Google domains have migrated to Squarespace. To manage your migrated domain:

  • Log in to Squarespace using your Google Domains email
  • Update billing information
  • Manage domain collaborators

For Tucows Domains: To verify if your domain is with Tucows:

  1. Open the domains panel
  2. Click on your domain
  3. Check the provider listed at the top (either Squarespace Domains LLC or Tucows)

Once You Find Your Provider:

  • Transfer or connect your domain to Squarespace
  • Set up Google Workspace MX records (for external domains)
  • Manage domain settings through your provider's platform
  • Contact your provider for account support

Note: If you see a Reseller listed in ICANN lookup, try logging in with the reseller first, as they may be your direct domain provider.

Remember: For Squarespace domains, all management must be done through the Squarespace domains panel, regardless of where you originally purchased the domain.
