Add or edit products in bulk using Squarespace's CSV importer. You can import up to 10,000 products (v7.1) or 200 products (v7.0), with a maximum of 250 variations per product.

Getting Started

1. Download the CSV template:

• For moving products between sites: Click "Export All" in Products panel
• For bulk editing: Click "Export All" in Products panel
• For new products: Click "Import" then "Download CSV Template"

2. Open the file in a spreadsheet editor (Excel or Google Sheets)

CSV Structure Example:

• Row 2: Single product with no variations
• Rows 3-8: Single product with multiple variations (size/flavor options)

Key Requirements

Required Fields:

• Product URL slug (3-200 characters, dashes only)
• Product title (max 200 characters)
• Stock quantity ("unlimited" or number)
• Display status ("Yes" or "No")

Optional Fields:

• Description
• SKU (max 20 characters)
• Price (numbers and decimals only)
• Sale price and status
• Categories (must match existing site categories)
• Tags (max 80 characters per tag)
• Images (web-hosted URLs only)

Import Process

1. In Products panel, click "Import"
2. Drag and drop completed CSV file
3. Optional: Disable "Update Product Quantities"
4. Review results and fix any errors
5. Click "Save"

Limitations

• Only tangible and service products supported
• Can't import customers or subscriptions
• Featured images must be set manually
• Variation images must be added manually
• On-demand print products need reconnection to fulfillment services

Common Troubleshooting

• Product page not found: URL slugs don't match
• No category assigned: Categories don't exist on site
• Missing Product ID column: Check spreadsheet structure
• Images not showing: Try different URL protocols (http/https)
• Import fails: Copy data to new spreadsheet and remove special formatting

Remember: This is a one-time import - changes to the original store won't sync automatically.
