Log in to your Squarespace account and navigate to the Domains panel to begin linking your Dotster domain.

Step 1: Connect Domain in Squarespace

• Go to Domains panel
• Click "Use my Domain"
• Enter your domain name
• Click "Link domain"
• Select Dotster from dropdown
• Click "Continue"
• Keep the DNS Settings panel open for reference

Step 2: Access Dotster DNS Settings

• Log in to www.dotster.com
• Find your domain and click "Manage"
• Click "DNS and Nameservers" then "DNS Records"

Step 3: Add First CNAME Record

• Click "+ Add DNS record"
• Name: [paste unique code from Squarespace]
• Type: CNAME
• Content: verify.squarespace.com
• TTL: 1 hour
• Click "Add DNS"

Step 4: Add Second CNAME Record

• Click "+ Add DNS record"
• Name: www
• Type: CNAME
• Content: ext-cust.squarespace.com
• TTL: 1 hour
• Click "Add DNS"

Step 5: Add Four A Records Add the following A records (repeat process for each):

• Name: @
• Type: A
• TTL: 1 hour
• Content (add one record for each):
  • 198.185.159.144
  • 198.185.159.145
  • 198.49.23.144
  • 198.49.23.145

Step 6: Wait for Changes

• Allow 24-72 hours for changes to take effect
• Monitor progress in Squarespace DNS Settings
• Green labels will appear as records connect
• Domain will show "Linked" when complete

Troubleshooting:

• Use DNS checker tool if "Unable to confirm domain ownership" appears
• Contact Dotster support for account-specific issues
• Wait full 72 hours before troubleshooting errors
