A naked domain refers to a website URL without the "www" prefix (e.g., yourdomain.com instead of www.yourdomain.com). Here's how to remove "www" from your domain:

For Squarespace-Managed Domains:

  1. Navigate to the Domain panel
  2. Locate and toggle off the "Use 'www' prefix" option

For Third-Party Domains:

  1. Access the Domain panel
  2. Find and disable the "Use 'www' prefix" option

Important Notes:

  • Changes typically take 24-72 hours to fully process
  • The naked domain will display in the address bar after processing
  • All visitors will see the naked domain version automatically

By default, Squarespace domains include both "www" and naked versions, automatically redirecting to the "www" version. Removing the prefix will make the naked domain your primary URL.

Note: These changes affect how your domain appears in browsers but don't impact your site's functionality or accessibility.
