Form submission issues typically occur in three main stages: entry, storage, and notification. Here's how to resolve common problems at each stage.

Entry Stage Issues

Invalid Email Format

• Error appears when email format doesn't match "[email protected]"
• Solution: Ask users to enter a properly formatted email address
• Maximum character limit: 256 characters

Multiple Submission Error

• "Unknown error" message appears when submitting forms too quickly
• This is a spam prevention measure
• Solution: Wait briefly before submitting another form

Storage Service Issues

Squarespace Mailing List Problems

• Check if subscribers need to confirm their subscription
• Verify form is properly connected to the [Lists and Segments] panel
• Ensure email field is marked as required

Google Drive Connection Issues

• Special characters (å, ä, ö) in form fields may be omitted
• Affected languages: Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Cyrillic, Persian, Arabic
• Column headers must match form field titles exactly
• To fix connection:
  1. Disconnect from Google Drive
  2. Reset Google account permissions
  3. Reconnect to Google Drive

Mailchimp Integration

• If submissions aren't appearing, check Mailchimp connection
• Review spam flags on email addresses
• Reset connection if necessary
