1. Prepare for Transfer

• Ensure domain meets transfer requirements
• Check pricing and billing details

• Plan for custom email address migration

2. Access Domain Settings

• Log in to 1&1 IONOS account
• Navigate to Domains & SSL page
• Select the domain to transfer

3. Update and Verify Information

• Verify administrative contact details
• Ensure email address is correct
• Make necessary updates in Privacy & Contact Details

4. Enable Transfer

• Go to Renewal & Transfer tab
• Unlock the domain (toggle should be gray)
• Obtain authorization code from Change Provider section

5. Initiate Squarespace Transfer

• Open Squarespace Domains panel
• Click "Use my domain"
• Enter domain name
• Input authorization code
• Verify registration details
• Confirm payment information

6. Complete Transfer Process

• Review order details and costs
• Accept transfer email from 1&1 IONOS
• Monitor transfer status
