
How to Update Payment Information for Squarespace Billing
Keep your Squarespace subscription active by following these steps to update your billing information:
Current Payment Methods Accepted:
- Credit/debit cards
- PayPal (not available in US)
- SEPA direct debit (EUR only, SEPA zone residents)
How to Update Your Payment Method:
- Navigate to the Payment Information panel
- Enter and verify your billing address
- Select or modify your payment method:
- For new cards: Enter card details
- For existing cards: Click current info to modify
- For company invoices: Add company name in Cardholder field
- Review for errors and click Save
Important Notes:
- Changes apply to next billing cycle
- Each site needs separate payment methods
- Connected domains have independent billing
- Grouped domains share payment information
- EEA bank cardholders may need additional authorization
Payment Restrictions:
- PayPal unavailable for specific currencies (BRL, COP, IDR, MXN, MYR, NZD, ZAR)
- SEPA requires EUR currency and SEPA zone residence
Billing Issues Resolution:
For Expired Sites:
- Enter valid payment details
- Click "Retry Payment" if available
- Wait for payment confirmation and receipt
For Expired Domains:
- Reactivate manually within grace period
For Google Workspace Suspension:
- Manually reactivate account after payment
For Payment Method Removal:
- Contact support (cannot be done independently)
Note: Once payment is processed, the payment method cannot be changed for that specific transaction. Changes will apply to future renewals only.
For declined payments, contact your bank and ensure all billing information is accurate before retrying.
