How to Verify Your Site with Bing Webmaster Tools
Make sure your site is searchable on Bing by verifying it through Bing Webmaster Tools, a free service that helps manage your site's visibility in Bing search results.
Before Starting:
- Remove any password protection from your homepage
- Ensure third-party domains are properly connected
- Wait 72 hours after connecting a domain before verification
- Trial sites cannot be verified - publish your site first
- Set your verification domain as the primary domain if you have multiple domains
Verify Your Site Using Bing Webmaster Tools:
- Add Your Domain:
- Log in to Bing Webmaster Tools
- Enter your domain in the "Add a site" field
- Click "Add"
- Add Site Information:
- Complete the "About your site" form
- Provide your email address (required)
- Add your sitemap (optional)
- Select contact preferences and save
- Choose a Verification Method:
For Plans Supporting Code Insertion:
- Copy the HTML verification tag
- Access your site's code injection panel
- Paste the tag in the Header section

- Save changes
- Return to Bing Webmaster Tools and click "Verify"
For Plans Without Code Insertion:
- Copy the provided CNAME records
- Access your domain dashboard
- Click on the domain name
- Go to DNS settings
- Add a new record
- Select CNAME as the type
- Paste CNAME records in the Host field
- Enter "verify.bing.com" in the Data field
- Save changes
- Return to Bing Webmaster Tools and click "Verify"
Once verified successfully, you'll gain access to your Bing Webmaster Tools dashboard, where you can manage your site's search presence and performance.
