Products on your website can be displayed in four key locations: Store pages (browsable collections), Product detail pages (individual product information), Product Blocks (single product displays), and Summary Blocks (filtered product samples).

Creating an Effective Store Structure

  • Name store pages clearly (e.g., Store, Sale, Products)
  • Use SEO titles to describe products accurately
  • Consider setting a store page as your homepage
  • Position store links prominently in navigation

Product Organization Tips

  1. Reordering Products:
  • Open store page
  • Click "All"
  • Drag products to desired positions
  • Use quick actions menu (...) to send items top/bottom or transfer between pages
  1. Product Detail Pages:
  • Create unique descriptions for similar items
  • Use custom forms for customizable products
  • Add limited availability tags
  • Optimize SEO descriptions

Categories and Subcategories

To manage categories:

  1. Open Pages panel
  2. Click store page button
  3. Select Categories
  4. Enter category name
  5. Add subcategories (up to 3 levels)

Tips for category structure:

  • Use sidebar navigation for nested menus
  • Hide seasonal categories when needed
  • Link categories to main navigation
  • Group broad product types on separate store pages

Advanced Organization Features

  • Use Product Blocks for single-item displays
  • Implement Summary Blocks for filtered collections
  • Add Tag Cloud Blocks for visual category navigation
  • Create Archive Blocks for text-based category lists
  • Use category dropdowns in main navigation

Remember to maintain consistent naming and organize products logically to enhance the shopping experience and boost sales.

For complex product lines:

  • Separate similar items with different prices/variants
  • Create specific categories for product types
  • Use tags for detailed filtering
  • Link related products together

Keep category navigation clear and intuitive, especially on mobile devices where horizontal scrolling may be necessary for multiple categories.
