Managing a Domain Registered Through Google Workspace

Your domain registered through Google Workspace is managed jointly by Google Workspace and Squarespace, with specific actions handled by each platform.

Identifying Your Resold Domain To check if your domain is resold, visit your domains dashboard and click on the domain. The reseller's name will appear under the domain's expiration date.

Domain Management Responsibilities

Google Workspace handles:

• Cancellations
• Auto-renewal settings
• Refunds
• Payment information updates

Squarespace handles:

• DNS record management
• Domain forwarding
• Contact information updates
• Nameserver configuration
• WHOIS privacy settings
• Domain suspension issues
• Domain locking/unlocking
• Domain transfers

First-Time Squarespace Login

1. Log out of any existing Squarespace accounts
2. Visit squarespace.com/login
3. Click "Continue with Google"
4. Select your Google Workspace account
5. Access your domains dashboard

Important Notes:

• Verify your domain within 15 days of registration to avoid suspension
• You can connect your domain to a Squarespace site, but billing remains separate
• Domain transfers to Squarespace are not possible
• Canceling Google Workspace doesn't automatically cancel your domain
• Domain billing continues through Google Workspace even after Google Workspace cancellation

For domain cancellations within the first 5 days, contact Google Workspace support. Note that canceling makes the domain available for others to register.

Domain management requires coordination between your Google Workspace account for billing and Squarespace for technical settings.
