If you believe your intellectual property rights are being infringed on a Squarespace site, here's what you need to know and do:

Copyright Claims

If copyrighted material appears on a Squarespace-hosted site without authorization:

  • Submit a Copyright Report Form to request content removal
  • Squarespace will review and respond quickly to valid DMCA claims
  • Infringing content may be removed or blocked
  • Repeat offenders may have their accounts terminated

Trademark Claims

For trademark infringement on Squarespace-hosted sites:

  • Submit a Trademark Notice Form
  • Provide details about the trademark violation
  • Squarespace will investigate valid claims
  • Infringing content may be removed or access limited

Important Notes:

  • If Squarespace is only the domain registrar (not hosting the site), contact the site owner or hosting provider directly
  • Information from infringement notices may be shared with the site owner
  • Squarespace expects all users to respect intellectual property rights
  • Multiple violations can result in account termination

For all intellectual property claims, Squarespace acts in accordance with applicable laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. §512).
