
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Connect Enom Domain to Squarespace
Start by accessing your Squarespace Domains panel and click "Use your domain." Enter your Enom domain name and select "Connect Domain," choosing Enom as your provider.
Keep the DNS Settings panel open for reference while completing these steps:
- Log into your Enom account
- Go to www.enom.com
- Navigate to Domains > Registered > Host Records
- Add First CNAME Record
- Select "CNAME (Alias)" as Record Type
- Copy unique verification code from Squarespace into Host Name
- Enter "verify.squarespace.com" as Address
- Add Second CNAME Record
- Select "CNAME (Alias)" as Record Type
- Enter "www" as Host Name
- Enter "ext-cust.squarespace.com" as Address
- Add Four A Records For @ (none) as Host Name, create records with these IP addresses:
- 198.185.159.144
- 198.185.159.145
- 198.49.23.144
- 198.49.23.145
- Save all changes and wait 24-72 hours for connection to complete
Important Notes:
- Don't remove Mail host records as they affect email service
- Connection status can be checked in Squarespace's DNS Settings
- A green label appears when properly connected
- Temporary errors are normal during the first 72 hours
Troubleshooting:
- Use the DNS checker tool in DNS Settings if you see "Cannot verify domain ownership"
- Contact Enom support for account-specific issues
