To summarize a site's content in Squarespace version 7.0, you can add a slogan: a brief text that conveys your site's purpose and appears near the site title or logo.

Adding a Slogan

Computer:

  1. Open the "Design" panel
  2. Click "Logo and Title" (or hover over site title and click Edit)
  3. Enter text in the Tagline field
  4. Click Save to publish

Mobile App: Access slogan settings through the Settings menu.

Template Display

  • Slogans appear differently across template families
  • Not all templates display slogans
  • Style using Slogan, Tag Line, or Caption settings
  • If no specific size settings exist, use font settings

Tips:

  • Keep slogans clear and concise
  • Position near site title/logo for brand reinforcement
  • Ensure text aligns with your brand message
  • Test visibility across different screen sizes

For optimal results, ensure your slogan effectively communicates your site's purpose while maintaining visual harmony with your template's design.

Note: When migrating to version 7.1, slogan settings and display options may differ from version 7.0.
