Your favicon is your website's most concise brand identifier, displaying in browser tabs, bookmarks, and sometimes search results. Here's how to add and optimize one:

Adding a Favicon:

  1. Open the favicon menu
  2. Upload your image by dragging or selecting a file
  3. Optionally add a dark mode version
  4. Click Save

Quick Tips:

  • Clear browser cache if changes don't appear immediately
  • Favicons typically don't show in mobile browsers
  • Safari displays favicons in the address bar and browser tabs

Optimization Requirements:

  • Size: 100x100 to 300x300 pixels (displays at 16x16)
  • Format: PNG only (ICO files not supported)
  • File size: Maximum 100 KB
  • For Google search results: Use dimensions in multiples of 48px (48x48, 96x96, etc.)

Technical Notes:

  • Single version files only (multiple versions not supported)
  • Default cube favicon provided if none uploaded
  • Browsers cache favicons aggressively

Best Practices:

  • Use a clean, recognizable design
  • Ensure readability at small sizes
  • Test visibility in both light and dark modes
  • Follow search engine size requirements for better visibility in results

For immediate changes, clear your browser cache and restart after updating your favicon.
