Swiftype enables powerful search functionality for your Squarespace website through a simple two-step installation process.

Important: Your website must be public before adding Swiftype, and you can only use one search field per page.

Get Your Swiftype Installation Code:

1. Log into Swiftype and select "Create A New Engine"
2. Enter your website URL and verify it
3. Wait for Swiftype to crawl your website
4. Name your search engine and click "Create engine"
5. Select "Complete Setup"
6. Click "Install Search"
7. Customize your search field
8. Click "Activate Site Search"
9. Copy both the installation code and search field code

Add Swiftype to Squarespace:

Step 1: Add Installation Code

• Open Code Injection in Squarespace settings
• Paste the installation code into the Header field
• Save changes

Step 2: Add Search Field

• Select an insertion point on your page
• Add a Code Block
• Paste the search field code
• Save changes
