Bing Webmaster Tools verification helps your site appear in Bing search results. Follow these steps to verify your site properly.

Prerequisites:

• Remove any password protection from your homepage
• Ensure your domain is properly connected (wait 72 hours after connecting)
• Use your primary domain if you have multiple domains
• Site must be published, not in testing mode

Step 1: Add Your Domain

1. Log in to Bing Webmaster Tools
2. Enter your domain in "Add a site"
3. Click Add

Step 2: Add Site Information

1. Complete the "About your site" form
2. Provide an associated email address (required)
3. Set contact preferences
4. Click Save

Step 3: Choose Verification Method

Tag Method (for Business/Commerce plans):

1. Copy the HTML code from "Copy and paste a tag"
2. Log in to your site
3. Open Code Injection panel
4. Paste the HTML tag in the Header field

5. Click Save
6. Return to Bing Webmaster Tools
7. Click Verify

CNAME Method (for Personal plans):

1. Copy the CNAME record
2. Access your domains panel
3. Select the domain to verify
4. Click DNS, then Add record
5. Choose CNAME from Type dropdown
6. Paste CNAME record in Host column
7. Enter verify.bing.com in Data column
8. Save changes
9. Return to Bing Webmaster Tools
10. Click Verify

After successful verification, you'll be redirected to the Bing Webmaster Tools dashboard.
