The Abandoned Cart Analysis panel in Squarespace Analytics helps track cart abandonment trends and measure recovery email success. It provides comprehensive data about customer shopping behavior and abandoned cart recovery efforts.

Understanding the Five Stages

  1. Carts
  • Total visits with at least one item added to cart
  • Each cart counts once regardless of items or completion
  • New carts count separately after order completion
  1. Abandonments
  • Represents incomplete orders after 24 hours
  • Orders completed within 24 hours aren't counted as abandoned
  • Recent orders (last 24 hours) aren't shown in current day stats
  1. Recoverable
  • Customers who:
    • Added products to cart
    • Provided email/logged into account
    • Didn't complete order within 24 hours
  1. Email Sent
  • Tracks recovery emails sent to qualified customers
  • Must be equal to or less than Recoverable
  • Emails may not send if:
    • Customer unsubscribed from marketing
    • Products are out of stock
  1. Recovered
  • Shows successfully recovered carts and revenue
  • Represents completed orders after abandonment
