
Change Account Email Address in Squarespace
To change your Squarespace account email address:
- Log in to your Squarespace account
- Visit your account and security settings
- Click "Change Email Address"
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new email address twice
- Click "Save"
- Click the verification link sent to your new email from [email protected]
Important Considerations:
- The new email address cannot be linked to another Squarespace account
- Changing your account email updates login credentials for all connected sites
- Form submission notifications must be updated separately
- Custom domain email addresses (like Google Workspace) should not be used as account emails
- Squarespace Circle members: This will update your Circle login information
Before Changing Email:
- To transfer site ownership, use "Change Site Ownership" instead
- If you can't log in, use "Restore Account Email Address"
- For social login changes (Apple, Facebook, Google), see "Change How You Log In"
- Delete any unused accounts if you want to use their email address
Form Updates:
- Review all form blocks on your site
- Manually update recipient email addresses
- Verify form submissions are routing correctly
If Locked Out:
- Use the "Restore Account Email Address" process
- Complete the account recovery steps
- Follow the email change process above once access is restored
All changes must comply with Squarespace's terms of service, requiring a valid email address for account maintenance.
