Creating a Workshop or Course Sales System

Set up your workshop as a service-based product for seamless customer registration and payment through Squarespace Commerce.

Step 1: Create the Workshop Product

  1. Navigate to Pages panel
  2. Access or create a Store Page
  3. Click + icon and select Service
  4. Add workshop details:
    • Product name (include date if offering multiple sessions)
    • Description
    • Images
    • Pricing information

Step 2: Configure Inventory Settings

  • Set stock limits or enable unlimited attendance
  • Adjust pricing options
  • Configure workshop variants (if needed):
    1. Access Inventory section
    2. Click Add in Variants
    3. Select Custom
    4. Add options (time slots, instructors, etc.)

Step 3: Create Events Page

  1. Add new Events Page
  2. For each workshop:
    • Set title matching product name
    • Configure start/end times
    • Add detailed description
    • Insert Product Block:
      1. Click + in event editor
      2. Select Product
      3. Search and select workshop
      4. Customize display settings

Step 4: Finalize Setup

  1. Publish both product and event
  2. Optional: Move Store Page to Hidden Navigation
  3. Test customer experience:
    • Calendar browsing
    • Registration process
    • Payment system
