Create a custom message for your site's announcement bar to display important updates, promotions, or notifications at the top of every page (except Cover Pages).

How to Add an Announcement Bar:

On Computer:

1. Open Announcement Bar panel
2. Select "Enable Announcement Bar"
3. Enter your message text (supports bold, italic, and links)
4. Optional: Add click-through URL for the entire bar
5. Click Save to publish

On Squarespace App:

1. Tap More > Marketing > Announcement Bar
2. Enable the Show option
3. Enter your message
4. Optional: Tap Link to add content links
5. Tap Save to publish

Customizing the Style:

Version 7.1

• Font Customization:

  1. Open Site Styles > Fonts
  2. Click Assign styles
  3. Select Announcement Bar > Text
  4. Choose preset styles or customize
  5. Save changes

• Color Customization:

  1. Open Site Styles > Colors
  2. Click pencil icon on header theme
  3. Adjust Background and Text settings
  4. Save changes

Version 7.0

1. Open Site Styles panel
2. Scroll to announcement bar tweaks
3. Edit background color, text color, and font
4. Save changes

Managing Visibility:

• Use "Restore Visibility" button to show closed announcements while logged in
• Edit and save the announcement to restore visibility for all visitors

Disabling the Announcement Bar:

On Computer:

1. Open Announcement Bar panel
2. Select "Disable Announcement Bar"

On Squarespace App:

1. Tap More > Marketing > Announcement Bar
2. Toggle off Show switch
3. Tap Save
