Gift cards are digital codes that customers can use to pay for orders in your online store. Here are the key facts and limitations about Squarespace gift cards:
Basic Information:
- Only digital gift cards are available (no physical cards)
- Gift cards never expire
- Can be used for taxes and shipping fees
- Not taxable at purchase
- Cannot be customized or duplicated
- Limited to the site where they were created
Usage and Payment:
- Multiple gift cards can be used per order
- Full card value is always applied at checkout
- Can be combined with credit card payment if order exceeds balance
- Cannot be used for subscription products
- Not accepted at point of sale
- Balance viewable in notification email and at checkout
Restrictions:
- Must be purchased individually (cannot combine with other products)
- Cannot apply promotional prices or discount codes
