
Google Domains Transfer to Squarespace: Essential Guide and FAQ
Your Google domain is now managed through Squarespace following the September 7, 2023 acquisition. Here's what you need to know:
Accessing Your Domain
- If you have an existing Squarespace account:
- Login at squarespace.com/login with your usual credentials
- Your domains will appear in the domain management panel
- If you're new to Squarespace:
- An account was automatically created using your Google Domains email
- Visit squarespace.com/login and click "Continue with Google"
- Select your Google Domains associated account
Managing Your Domain
Through your Squarespace domain panel, you can manage:
- Billing and renewals
- Contact information
- DNS records
- Name servers and DNSSEC
- Whois privacy
Billing Information
- Domains renew automatically each year
- You'll receive renewal notices 15 days before charging
- Starting September 7, 2024, domains will renew at Squarespace's standard rates
- Previous Google Domain registration duration is maintained
- Tax exemptions must be re-requested with Squarespace

- No additional subscriptions required
- Domain locks are not applied after transfer
- Existing Google services (Analytics, Search Console, Ads) continue working
