Managing Your Domain

Through your Squarespace domain panel, you can manage:

  • Billing and renewals

  • DNS records
  • Name servers and DNSSEC
  • Whois privacy

Billing Information

  • Domains renew automatically each year
  • You'll receive renewal notices 15 days before charging
  • Starting September 7, 2024, domains will renew at Squarespace's standard rates
  • Previous Google Domain registration duration is maintained
  • Tax exemptions must be re-requested with Squarespace

Key Points to Remember

  • No additional subscriptions required
  • Domain locks are not applied after transfer
  • Existing Google services (Analytics, Search Console, Ads) continue working
  • Domain and email forwarding rules transfer automatically
  • Dynamic DNS (DDNS) is not supported
  • ACME TLS/SSL certificates will work until expiration but won't renew

Need to change domain ownership? Different processes apply depending on whether your domain shares billing with a Squarespace website. Contact Squarespace support for specific guidance.
