How to Add TXT Records for Domain Verification

To add a TXT record:

  1. Access DNS Settings:
  • Open domain dashboard
  • Click your domain name
  • Select DNS Settings
  1. Add New TXT Record:
  • Scroll to Custom Records
  • Click Add Record
  • Choose TXT from Type dropdown
  1. Configure Record:
  • Host field: Enter @ for root domain, or specific subdomain
  • Data field: Enter provided TXT value (can include letters, numbers, symbols)
  • Click Save

Common Uses:

  • Domain ownership verification
  • Email authentication
  • Third-party service verification

Important Notes:

  • TXT records store text information for your domain
  • Changes may take 24-48 hours to propagate
  • Multiple TXT records can exist for one domain
  • Keep records from different services separate
  • Double-check values before saving

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • Verify correct formatting
  • Ensure no extra spaces
  • Check for typos in host/data fields
  • Allow sufficient time for propagation
  • Remove conflicting records
