Before linking your IWantMyName domain to Squarespace, ensure you meet the external domain linking requirements.

Connect Your Domain in 3 Steps:

1. On Squarespace:

• Open "Domains" panel
• Click "Use My Domain"
• Enter your domain name
• Click "Link Domain"
• Select "iwantmyname.com"
• Click "Link Domain" again
• Click "Continue"
• Keep the DNS settings panel open for reference

2. On IWantMyName:

• Log in at www.iwantmyname.com
• Click "Services" dropdown
• Select "Apps and Services"
• Search for "Squarespace"
• Click "Add Squarespace" next to your domain

3. Verify Your Site:

• Copy the unique verification code from Squarespace's DNS settings
• Paste the code in IWantMyName's "Unique Verification Code" field
• Click "Install Squarespace"

Wait for Connection:

• Domain linking takes 24-72 hours
• Monitor progress in Squarespace's DNS Settings
• Click "Update Records" to check status
• Domain will show "Linked" when complete

Troubleshooting:

• If domain shows "Unable to confirm domain ownership," use the DNS checker tool
• Verify CNAME and A-records are correct
• Errors are normal during the first 72 hours
• Contact IWantMyName support for account-specific issues

For successful connection, ensure all DNS records match exactly as shown in Squarespace's DNS Settings panel.
