Free products can be offered as one-time purchases for tangible items, downloads, or services. Here's how to set up and manage free products in your store:

Setting Up Free Products

1. For new products:

• Follow standard product creation process
• Set price to $0.00

2. For existing products:

• Navigate to Store page via Page Panel
• Click [All] and open product editor
• Change price to $0.00
• Save changes

Creating Temporary Free Offers

• Enable [Sale Price] toggle
• Set sale price to $0.00
• Disable toggle to return to regular price
• Use discounts for targeted free offers

Free Shipping Setup

• Add free shipping option for tangible products
• Ensure total order amount equals $0.00
• Required for successful checkout

Checkout Process

For Free Tangible Products:

• Customers see "0.00" in local currency
• Billing fields present but can be skipped
• Click [Continue] to complete order

For Free Downloads/Services:

• Billing address required
• Cannot skip billing information

Important Notes:

• Free products work for one-time purchases only
• Not available for subscriptions
• Payment processor connection recommended despite $0 total
• "Checkout is closed" banner shows without payment processor

You can also use discounts for order thresholds or specific customer targeting, making products temporarily free while maintaining regular pricing structure.
