Log in to your domain provider's account.

Add these DNS records to link your Strato domain to Squarespace:

1. First CNAME Record:

• Type: CNAME
• Prefix: [unique verification code from Squarespace]
• Value: verify.squarespace.com

2. Second CNAME Record:

• Type: CNAME
• Prefix: www
• Value: ext-cust.squarespace.com

3. A Record:

• Type: A
• Host: @
• Value: 198.185.159.144

Important Notes:

• Select "No SPF rule" for CNAME records
• Delete any existing A Records except email-related ones
• Changes can take 24-72 hours to propagate
• Keep existing email-related records

Monitor Progress:

1. Return to Squarespace DNS Settings
2. Click "Update Records"
3. Look for green labels indicating successful connection
4. Domain will show "Linked" status when complete

Troubleshooting:

• Use DNS checker tool if "Unable to verify domain ownership" appears
• Wait full 72 hours before troubleshooting errors
• Contact Strato support for account-specific issues

For verification, your DNS records should match:
