
How to Point a Domain to a Different Website on Squarespace
Using a Squarespace domain to point to other sites requires configuring DNS settings correctly. Here's how to do it effectively:
Pointing a Domain to a Non-Squarespace Site
- Add a CNAME Record:
- Log into Squarespace and open domain dashboard
- Navigate to DNS settings
- Delete Squarespace Defaults
- Add Custom Record (Type: CNAME)
- Set Host as "www"
- Enter provider's URL in Data field
- Save changes

- Allow 24-72 hours for changes
