Quick view, image zoom, and hover effects are powerful features that enhance the shopping experience on Squarespace sites. These features work differently depending on your site version (7.0 or 7.1).

Image Zoom

• Allows customers to examine product details more closely
• Available on Product Information pages and Quick View lightboxes
• Activated by hover or click (version dependent)
• Not available on mobile devices
• Works best with web-optimized images

Quick View

• Displays product details in a lightbox without leaving the current page
• Available on Summary Blocks, Product Blocks, and Shop Pages
• Shows product details, images, and "View Full Item" link
• Must be enabled separately for each Shop page and block
• Not available on mobile devices

Hover Effects Version 7.1:

• Displays second product image on hover when available

Version 7.0 (Brine, Farro, Skye, Tremont, York):

• Alternative Image display
• Fade effect
• Product information overlay

Setup Instructions:

Image Zoom:

1. Version 7.1:

   • Edit Product Information page
   • Click pencil icon
   • Select Zoom from Action on Hover menu

2. Version 7.0:

   • Go to Design > Site Styles
   • Enable Image Zoom option
   • Adjust Zoom Factor (1-5)
   • Choose Click or Hover trigger

Quick View:

1. Product Blocks:

   • Open Product Block editor
   • Enable Product Quick View in Design tab

2. Summary Blocks:

   • Select Shop page in Content tab
   • Enable Activate Product Quick View in Design tab

3. Shop Pages:

   • Open page settings
   • Go to Advanced > Quick View
   • Enable Activate Quick View

Additional templates like Adirondack, Avenue, and others offer unique hover effects with product information overlays. Galapagos and Supply templates feature their own distinct hover options.
