Private or public? Control your site's visibility with precise access settings to fit your needs. Site availability options let you manage who can view your content.

To change your site's access settings:

  1. Open Site Availability panel
  2. Choose your access level:
    • Public: Open to everyone, visible to search engines
    • Password Protected: Visitors need a password to access
    • Private: Only site owners and contributors can view
    • SSO Protected: Enterprise-only, requires authentication

Public sites allow:

  • Full visibility to all visitors
  • Search engine indexing
  • Online store functionality
  • Social media sharing

Password protection creates a secure entrance where visitors must enter credentials before accessing your site.

Private sites:

  • Show only to owners and contributors
  • Display "Private Site" message to visitors
  • Hide from search engines
  • Ideal for sites under construction

For temporary site hiding, you can:

  • Set to Private
  • Enable password protection
  • Create a Coming Soon page
  • Hide specific pages only

SSO Protection (Enterprise):

  • Restricts access through authentication apps
  • Works with Okta, Azure, ClassLink, or Google
  • Ideal for business environments

Site promotion options allow you to control whether your site can be featured in templates and social media channels. Manage this through the Website panel in site settings.

Remember to use the site launch checklist before publishing and implement SEO best practices to maximize visibility when going public.
