Squarespace Commerce allows you to sell products globally, with payment processing support varying by country and currency. Here's what you need to know about geographic and currency support:

Payment Processor Availability

  • Squarespace Payments and Stripe: Check Stripe's Global page for supported countries
    • Live countries have full feature access
    • Open Preview countries have limited features
    • Closed Preview countries require invitation
  • PayPal: Available in numerous countries (check PayPal's Global page)

Supported Currencies

Major supported currencies include:

  • USD (US Dollar)
  • EUR (Euro)
  • GBP (British Pound)
  • CAD (Canadian Dollar)
  • AUD (Australian Dollar)
  • JPY (Japanese Yen)

Currency restrictions apply based on your bank location:

  • US, UK, Australian, and European banks support all currencies
  • Canadian banks: USD and CAD only
  • Indian banks: INR only
  • Mexican banks: MXN only
  • New Zealand banks: NZD only

Important Considerations

  • Your store can only use one currency at a time
  • Currency conversion fees may apply (approximately 2% for Stripe)
  • You can ship products worldwide with any carrier
  • VAT/GST collection is supported
  • Currency can be changed through Store payments panel

Limitations

  • PayPal doesn't support ARS, COP, INR, IDR, and ZAR
  • MYR is only supported by Malaysian PayPal accounts
  • Multiple currency display isn't available
  • Countries without Stripe/PayPal support must use PayPal only
