Understanding Circle Member Status and Points System
As a Squarespace Circle member, your status determines the benefits you receive based on your engagement and subscription activity. There are three membership tiers: Silver, Gold, and Platinum Partner.
Understanding Your Points
Points are earned through new client subscriptions and admin access to client websites. Your total points determine your status level and reset annually on January 1st. Check your current status and points in your Circle dashboard or weekly release notes emails.
Status Requirements (2025):
- Silver Partner: 0-999 points
- Gold Partner: 1,000-1,999 points
- Platinum Partner: 2,000+ points
Earning Points:
- Website subscriptions generate points based on plan type
- Admin access to client websites adds to your point total
- Points accumulate throughout the calendar year
Status Duration and Changes
Your status remains active for:
- The remainder of the year you achieve the status
- The entire following calendar year
Status changes occur when:
- You earn enough points to move to a higher tier (immediate upgrade)
- You don't maintain required points by year-end (downgrade next January)
- Annual point reset occurs (points return to zero, status maintains until period end)
Example Timeline:
March 2025:
- New member joins as Gold Partner (1,000 points)
- Maintains Gold status through 2026
January 2026:
- Points reset to 0
- Gold status continues
- Must earn 1,000+ points to maintain Gold for 2027
December 2026:
- If below 1,000 points: Returns to Silver in 2027
- If 1,000+ points: Maintains Gold status for 2027
Weekly status updates are provided through Circle release notes emails. Enable "Circle product release notes" in your notification settings to stay informed about your membership status.
