
Create Trackable Links for Digital Campaigns - URL Builder Guide
A trackable URL lets you measure visitor clicks and revenue generated from specific ad campaigns. These unique URLs are created through the URL Builder and tracked individually in the Traffic Sources menu.
Supported Ad Platforms:
- Facebook Ads
- Instagram Ads
- Google Ads
- Twitter Ads
- Pinterest Ads
- YouTube Ads
- LinkedIn Ads
Note: Squarespace Analytics automatically tracks email campaigns and Instagram Shopping campaigns without needing special links.
Trackable Links Work With:
- Layout pages
- Collection pages (blogs, shops)
- Tags and categories within collections
Limitations:
- Cannot link directly to individual products or blog posts (use tags instead)
- Cannot link to pages within an index (link to main index only)
How to Create a Trackable URL:
- Go to Marketing → URL Builder
- Click Create URL
- Select destination page from dropdown
- Choose ad platform
- Click Next
- Enter campaign details as prompted
Track your results by visiting the Traffic Sources menu to view click data and campaign performance metrics.
