Files can be uploaded and managed through the link editor, with a maximum size of 20 MB per file. Here's how to handle files on your site:

Uploading Files:

  1. Open the link editor
  2. Select "File" from the dropdown menu
  3. Click the upload icon to choose a file
  4. Enable "Open link in new tab" if desired

Managing Existing Files:

  • Create links to uploaded files by selecting them from "Recently Uploaded"
  • Rename files by clicking the pencil icon
  • Delete files using the trash can icon
  • Download individual files by right-clicking and selecting "Save link as..."

Supported File Types:

  • ZIP files (single file per link)
  • PDF files (forms functionality disabled)
  • DOCX files (will always download)
  • Images, audio, and CSS files (managed separately)

Important Notes:

  • Files added to galleries, blocks, or CSS are stored separately
  • File URLs cannot be modified
  • Password protection works at the page level, not individual files
  • Browser behavior may vary when opening different file types
  • Files on password-protected pages won't appear in search results

Additional Upload Locations:

  • Site logo
  • Favicon
  • Audio blocks
  • CSS editor
  • Developer resources (via Github connection)

File Security:

  • Remove and re-upload files after setting page passwords
  • URLs assigned by CDN remain accessible if indexed before password protection
  • Individual files cannot be password-protected directly
