The migration of your Google Domains account to Squarespace was completed following the September 7, 2023 acquisition. Here's what you need to know about managing your domain going forward:

Accessing Your Domain

If you have an existing Squarespace account:

  • Sign in at squarespace.com/login using your regular credentials
  • Your domains will appear in your domain panel

For new Squarespace users:

  • Go to squarespace.com/login
  • Click "Continue with Google"
  • Select your Google Domains account email
  • If you get an authorization error, request a verification email and create a password

Domain Management Features

Through the Squarespace domain panel, you can manage:

  • Billing and renewals
  • Contact information
  • DNS records
  • Name servers and DNSSEC
  • Whois privacy

Important Billing Information

  • Domain subscriptions auto-renew annually
  • Existing multi-year registrations will maintain original renewal dates
  • Renewal notifications are sent 15 days in advance
  • Starting September 7, 2024, domains renew at standard Squarespace rates
  • Previous tax exemptions must be reapplied for with Squarespace

Key Changes & Continuity

  • You don't need to purchase additional Squarespace services
  • Your domain registration time remains intact
  • Domain transfers aren't locked for 60 days
  • Google services (Analytics, Search Console, Ads) continue working
  • URL and email redirects will continue if using Google's default nameservers

Technical Considerations

  • You may need to add new verification records for non-Squarespace websites
  • Dynamic DNS is not supported
  • ACME TLS/SSL certificates are not supported
  • Squarespace 5 sites cannot use migrated domains

For issues with domain management or account access, contact Squarespace support directly.
