Your online content can be protected and monetized through pricing plans, which create paywalls around your digital products. Here's everything you need to know about setting them up effectively:

Basic Requirements:

  • Must have course pages, video pages, blog pages, or member sites
  • Need Squarespace Payments or third-party processors (Stripe/PayPal) for paid content
  • PayPal only works for one-time payments

Pricing Plan Types:

  • Subscription: Regular payments (weekly/monthly/annual)
  • One-time: Single payment or fixed installments
  • Free: No cost, but requires account creation

  • Changes only affect new members
  • Existing members retain original terms
  • Deleted plans remove member access

Paywall Customization:

  • Customize headlines and descriptions
  • Control content visibility
  • Set public previews for marketing
  • Style using site's color palette and fonts

Best Practices:

  • Use tiered pricing for different budget levels
  • Create public sign-up pages
  • Contact members before deleting plans
  • Set up preview content for marketing

Remember: Changes to pricing plans don't affect existing members, and members can't be transferred between plans automatically.
