Create custom site search using Swiftype and Squarespace through these two main steps:

Prerequisites

• Your Squarespace site must be public
• Only one Swiftype search field can be active per page

Step 1: Get Swiftype Install Code

1. Log into Swiftype and click "Create A New Engine"
2. Enter your website URL and verify
3. Wait for site crawling to complete
4. Name your search engine and click "Create engine"
5. Click "Complete Setup" then "Install Search"
6. Customize your search field
7. Click "Activate Site Search"
8. Copy both the install code and search field code

Step 2: Add Code to Squarespace

Add Install Code:

1. Open Code Injection panel in Squarespace
2. Paste install code in Header field
3. Save changes

Add Search Field:

2. Add Code Block at insert point
3. Paste search field code into block
