Connect your Name.com domain to Squarespace quickly and easily by following these steps:

Step 1: Start the connection in Squarespace

• Open Domains menu
• Click Use External Domain
• Enter your domain name
• Click Connect Domain
• Select name.com from dropdown
• Click Connect Domain and Continue
• Keep the DNS settings menu open for reference

Step 2: Access Name.com

• Log in to www.name.com
• Click your domain under My Domains
• Select Manage DNS records

Step 3: Add DNS Template

• Click View DNS Templates
• Select Squarespace.com from Preset DNS Templates dropdown

• Copy the unique verification code from Squarespace DNS Settings
• Paste code into Name.com's Verification Key field

• Wait 24-72 hours for full connection
• Monitor progress in Squarespace DNS settings
• Click Refresh Records to check status
• Green labels indicate successful connections
• Domain will show as "Connected" when complete

• Use DNS records checker if domain shows "ownership cannot be verified"
• Contact Name.com support for account-specific issues
• Wait full 72 hours before troubleshooting
• Check DNS settings match exactly as listed above

Note: Error messages are normal during the 72-hour connection period. Only take action if errors persist after this timeframe.
