When your Facebook shares don't display correctly, follow these steps to resolve common issues:
Wrong Image Displays
- Check image requirements:
- Minimum size: 200px x 200px
- Recommended size: 2500px wide
- Must be properly formatted for web display
- Use Facebook's debugger tool:
- Visit Facebook's debugger tool
- Enter your URL and click Debug
- Check Link Preview
- Click Scrape Again if needed
- Re-post content after debugging
Content Not Pushing to Facebook
- For Personal Profiles:
- Facebook doesn't allow third-party posting to personal profiles
- Only Facebook Pages can receive automated posts
- Share links manually to personal profiles
- For Facebook Pages:
- Verify Push Target settings
- Ensure Facebook connection is active
- Check if Facebook blocked your domain
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting your account
Missing Facebook Page in Push Target Menu
- Update Facebook permissions:
- Go to Business Integrations in Facebook settings
- Select Squarespace
- Enable "manage Pages" and "publish as Pages" permissions
- Save changes
- Note: Push Target menu limited to 25 accounts
