Getting support from your domain provider is crucial when transferring or connecting a domain to Squarespace. Here's how to effectively communicate with them.
Domain Transfer Support
Checking Transfer Eligibility "Is my domain [your-domain] eligible for transfer to Squarespace? Requirements include:
- TLD must be on Squarespace's accepted list
- Not a premium registered domain
- 60+ days since registration/transfer
- Active and not expired
- Domain unlocked
- Less than 9 years remaining on registration"
Service Verification "Are any services (like email) linked to [your-domain] that will stop working after transferring to Squarespace?"
Transfer Status Check "I initiated a transfer for [your-domain] to Squarespace. Has the transfer been recognized and the domain unlocked?"
Failed Transfer Troubleshooting "The transfer for [your-domain] failed. Could you inform me why it was denied?"
