Contacting your domain provider for support is essential when transferring or connecting a third-party domain to Squarespace. Here's how to effectively communicate with them for various scenarios:

Domain Transfer Support

Checking Transfer Eligibility Contact your provider to verify if your domain meets these requirements:

  • Supported TLD by Squarespace
  • Not a registry premium domain
  • 60+ days since registration/transfer
  • Active and not expired
  • Unlocked status

Service Verification Ask about services like email that might be affected by the transfer.

Transfer Status If showing "In Transfer," contact provider to confirm:

  • Transfer approval status
  • Domain release status
  • Any pending actions needed
