Managing website images and videos effectively starts with understanding your content library. This central repository stores all uploaded media for easy reuse across your website.

Reusable Content Locations

Images can be reused in:

• Banner images
• Blog posts and events
• Email marketing
• Image blocks and galleries
• Product images
• Website backgrounds
• Featured images
• Mobile device placeholders

Videos can be reused in:

• Video blocks
• Section backgrounds
• Course pages
• Video pages

Content Library Management

Access your content through the Assets menu to:

• View uploaded images and videos
• Check video storage space
• See file details (name, type, dimensions, size)
• Rename files
• Organize content in folders

Adding Content

From Computer:

1. Open Assets menu
2. Drag and drop files or click "Add New"
3. Track upload progress

From Mobile App:

1. Tap "+" in Home tab
2. Select "Upload Content to Library"
3. Choose images
4. Complete import

Organizing with Folders

Create folders to structure your content:

• Click "Add New" > "Folder"
• Name your folder
• Move content using checkboxes
• Create up to 40 nested levels
• Maximum 300 subfolders per folder

Deleting and Restoring Content

To delete:

1. Select content in Assets menu
2. Click trash icon
3. Confirm deletion

To restore (within 30 days):

1. Access Trash
2. Select content
3. Click Restore

Important Notes:

• Deleted content stays in trash for 30 days
• Restored items return to original location
• Keep original files on your computer as backup
• Agency images are website-specific
• File names serve as alt text in most areas
• Check licensing for Getty Images used outside Squarespace
