Digital Products plans allow you to sell courses, memberships, and other digital content with reduced transaction fees and increased video storage. Here's everything you need to know about pricing and management.

Prerequisites

  • Must have an active Squarespace site
  • Site must be on a paid plan for visitors to access pricing plans
  • Only site owners and admin collaborators can purchase Digital Products plans

Plan Features

  • Compatible with Personal, Business, Basic Commerce, and Advanced Commerce site plans
  • Includes customer accounts, checkout on your domain, and limited-time subscription discounts
  • No limits on number of digital products you can sell
  • Additional video storage beyond the standard 30-minute limit
  • Reduced transaction fees compared to base site plans

Selecting a Plan

  • Available in monthly or annual billing cycles
  • Annual billing offers lower average monthly cost
  • Choose based on expected sales volume and video storage needs
  • Pro plan recommended for high-volume sellers ($1,600+ annual sales)

How to Purchase

  1. Open Content and Memberships panel
  2. Click Products in sidebar
  3. Click Select Plan
  4. Choose billing cycle (monthly/annual)
  5. Select desired plan
  6. Enter payment details
  7. Confirm purchase

Plan Management

  • View plan details in Billing panel
  • Check invoices and renewal dates
  • Toggle automatic renewal
  • Change plans anytime
  • Update payment method as needed

Important Notes

  • Failed charges have 15-day grace period
  • Plan expiration reverts to 9% transaction fee
  • Video storage limit returns to 30 minutes upon expiration
  • Can re-subscribe anytime while site plan is active

For sites on free trial, you'll need to select a paid site plan before purchasing a Digital Products plan. Two separate charges will process - one for the site plan and one for Digital Products.
