Important: Disqus comments are URL-specific, so they only appear when visitors use the same URL to access your site. Use your secure custom domain (https) as the primary URL and add it as a trusted domain in Disqus.

Creating Your Disqus Shortname:

1. Log into Disqus and click "Add Disqus to Site"
2. Click "Get Started"
3. Select "I want to install Disqus on my site"
4. Enter your Website Name (this becomes your shortname)
5. Choose a Category
6. Click "Create Site"
7. Select a Disqus plan
8. Choose Squarespace as your platform

Setting Up Disqus on Squarespace:

1. Open Blog preferences
2. Enter your Disqus Shortname
3. Save changes
4. Enable Comments Globally in Comments Settings

Using Disqus Comments:

• Visitors must log in using Disqus, Facebook, Twitter, or Google
• Comments appear only on the URL specified in your Disqus account
• Previous Squarespace comments won't transfer to Disqus
